CURRICULUM
Ana Lourdes Herrera belongs to a family of great photographic tradition in Mexico. Her specialty is editorial photography and has photographed the most renowned businessmen, artists and personalities of the Mexican society.
She studied Graphic Design at the Universidad Iberoamericana, where she has also taught the following subjects: Photography, Graphic Design and Advanced Graphic Arts.
In 1987 she co-founded the magazine Foto Forum and was the Art Director for seven years.
In 1990 she presented her first individual exhibition at the Polyforum Cultural Siqueiros, sponsored by Kodak Mexicana.
In 1995 she participated in the conference "100 years of Photographic Tradition in Mexico", at the Professional Photographers of America International Convention, held at Chicago.
In 1997 she made a special presentation at the Kodak ProPassport annual event called "When the future reaches us", in Guadalajara, Jalisco.
In 1998 Canon invited her as speaker for their new image presentation, where she lectured on "Editorial photography with Canon".
From 1999 to 2003, she was the Photographic Director at Lifestyle Publications.
The work of Ana Lourdes Herrera has been published in the following magazines: Altura (Aeroméxico), Bon Vivant, Expansion, Escala, Cine Premiere, Paula, Disney Aventuras, A&C, Pro Opera, Entorno (Coparmex), Kaleidoscopio, MediaLink and Marie Claire.
She has produced special photo-essays on Egypt, Europe, Mexico, South America, Canada and the United States.
She has also participated in several books and encyclopedias, among them: The Best of Masters 2000, invited by Kodak.
